You Should Come to GopherCon 2016!

We're less than 30 days away from the largest event in the world dedicated to the Go programming language. It is literally THE FINAL COUNTDOWN to get your ticket and make your plans to head to GopherCon!

Oh, BTW we have a code to get you $100 off your ticket!!

Seeing Is Believing

Last year was a blast, but sometimes seeing is believing. If you haven't seen the trailer to Beyond Code Season 3 that we filmed at last year's GopherCon, you should watch it. Lots of fun ideas were shared about Go and where programming is heading.

What Are You Missing Out On?

GopherCon is THE PLACE to meet and make friends with other Gophers in the Go community -- people who are making things happen and pushing this community forward. Last year we meet so many people, several of whom we now have deep relationships with.

In fact, we were so impacted by the Go community there, that we decided to put our money (and time) where our mouth is. We created a new podcast for the Go community, called Go Time -- with help from our friends Erik St. Martin and Brian Ketelsen of Gopher Academy, and Carlisia Campos and Bill Kennedy of Go Bridge.

We're also coming back again this year to shoot more video and interview more Gophers to do more things like this...

So, What's Happening This Year?

This year's conference will introduce multiple tracks during the afternoon sessions! This was the big request we heard while talking to the folks we got on camera.

Day 1 and 2 we will feature 30-minute talks in the main theatre, then after lunch additional rooms will open up with two tracks of 50-minute tutorial sessions. These tutorial sessions will run in parallel with other talks and panels in the main theatre.

But don't worry -- you won't miss out! Everything will be recorded and available after the conference, so hit up the talk, tutorial or panel that best fits your in-person time and catch everything else on YouTube.

The final day of the conference is, of course, the same hack day free-for-all GopherCon is known and loved for. The only difference this year is MOAR SPACE! They'll have more breakout rooms and will be introducing birds-of-a-feather sessions so you can stick around and hack with fellow Gophers on your favorite open source Go projects.

Let's Not Forget the Kickoff Party and After Party

The best times are often in the halls, between talks, and at the kickoff and after parties.

The Kickoff Party -- You may have heard on Go Time #2 with Cory LaNou about all the work that goes into helping Erik and Brian (and the many volunteer Gophers) put on GopherCon. We this year is no different. Well, it kind of is -- this year the Kickoff Party is going to be at The Wynkoop Brewery. Get all the details here.

The After Party -- this year is at a new venue with even more games and activities for all the attending Gophers - Punch Bowl Social. Get all details here.
